The big decision for your Dogecoin purchase

Now enter all necessary data (see screenshot) and click on “Create my Account”. Now you will receive an email with a confirmation link. Click on this link to verify your email address.The next step is to enter your phone number. Litebit will then send you a code by SMS, which you must enter on the website to confirm your phone number.
Now you need to activate and set up two-factor authentication. The default setting for Litebit is authentication by SMS. You can either keep this setting or link your account to the Google Authenticator. We recommend you to use the 2-factor authentication in any case. This increases the security of your account enormously.Once you have completed this last step, you will be taken back to the Litebit homepage and can now log in to your account.

Purchase limits for Dogecoin
On the Litebit exchange there are different verification levels and associated limits how much money you can spend daily, weekly or monthly on buying and selling cryptocurrencies.
In the first level, “Tier 1“, you can invest 350€ per day, 1050€ per week and 4.200 Euro per month. If you want to increase these limits, you must unlock additional levels. The following table shows a good overview of the respective levels and limits (on Litebit the different levels are called “Tiers”):

To reach Tier 2, you must verify your address. You scan the front and back of your identity card and upload it to Litebit. It is also necessary to prove your residence. You can do this with a copy of your last electricity or mobile phone bill.
To reach the last level, Tier 3, a Litebit representative will contact you via Skype and ask you a few questions. Besides, you need to hold your ID in the camera. Skype calls usually take less than 2 minutes. In Tier 3, you can trade Dogecoin up to a value of €500,000 per month.
Buy Dogecoin by bank transfer, credit card or Paypal
The actual purchase process of Dogecoin (DOGE) is very simple and quick. Click in the menu on the upper right tab “Buy” and then search DOGE. Now click on the cryptocurrency Dogecoin. Now you can enter your amount, how much Dogecoin you want to buy. You must also decide whether you want to keep your Dogecoin on the Litebit wallet or send it to an external wallet.

If you want the best possible security for your Dogecoin, you should buy a hardware wallet. A hardware wallet offers you the strongest protection and keeps your Dogecoin safe. Especially with larger sums you should think about such an investment. Very cheap and very safe hardware wallet are the Ledger Nano X and the Trezor One. Both wallets offer you excellent protection at a very good price.
Once you have decided how you want to keep your Dogecoin, you can now select a payment method. We recommend that you pay by bank transfer, as the fees are very low. Pick Sepa Bankwire. When you have selected “Sepa Bankwire”, you can click on “Next”. In the next step you will be told to which bank account you have to transfer the corresponding amount. Pay attention to the following:
For your bank transfer, you must specify a specific purpose here referred to as “Transaction Message”. Only then Litebit will be able to assign your transaction in the system. The Transaction Message is framed in red in the screenshot. As soon as Litebit has received the amount, your Dogecoin will be shipped.

Creating an External Dogecoin Wallet
There are many different wallet providers on the market, each offering a different level of security. A very simple and safe Dogecoin Wallet is the Atomic Wallet. We have been using the wallet for several years now and are really satisfied with it. In addition to Dogecoin, many other cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and other Altcoins can be stored.
To download the wallet, you must first go to the official website. Click on the following link and download the correct version for your operating system (Windows, Mac, Ubuntu, Debian or Fedora). The Wallet is available as desktop version or for your mobile phone for iOS and Android.
We have a Windows computer, so we clicked on Download under the Windows icon. When the download is completed successfully, open the setup file and install the software. This should not take longer than 2 minutes. You will then arrive at this view. Now you can choose whether you want to create a new wallet or restore an existing one. Click on “New Wallet” because you want to create a new wallet.
The next step is to set a password. You must enter the password again to confirm the password. Click on “Set Password”. Then the wallet is installed and you get to the dashboard of the Atomic Dogecoin Wallet. This process can take up to 30 seconds. Now the wallet shows you your “backup phrase”, which consists of 12 words. Write this phrase on a piece of paper that you keep in a safe place.
With this seed you can restore your account if your PC or laptop breaks down and you need to install the wallet on another computer. When you have successfully written down your backup phrase, you can click on “Open Wallet”.
The wallet supports more than 300 different cryptocurrencies. In order to find out your Dogecoin receiving address, you can enter “Doge” in the upper search field. Afterwards your Doge “Receive Adress” will be displayed. Both are framed in red in the screenshot.
To copy the address, simply click on the address with the mouse pointer. Then you can return to Litebit, or any other exchange, and insert this address in the “Receive Address” field. After that you can continue to buy the Dogecoin as usual.
If you want to send Dogecoin with your wallet, you have to enter the amount and the destination address, framed in green in the screenshot. You will then need to enter your password to confirm the transaction. You can set up and use your Dogecoin Wallet easily and quickly.

Buy Dogecoin on Coinmerce
5-minute guide for your Dogecoin purchase
Coinmerce is another exchange from the Netherlands that enables the direct purchase of Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies by bank transfer or credit card. The company behind the stock exchange is Coinmerce B.V., a Dutch limited liability company. The Dogecoin dealer is relatively young and was founded in 2017, but is enjoying increasing user numbers and popularity.
The founders of Coinmerce want to make trading in cryptocurrencies as simple and transparent as possible. That’s why their motto is “Cryptocurrencies for all”. Coinmerce has developed a smartphone app that offers all the functions of a large exchange, such as Binance or Coinbase.

To buy Dogecoin , you must first create an account on coinmerce.io. Click on the following link which will take you directly to the official website of Coinmerce*. Click on the red “Create Account” button to create an account.
Now you need to enter some personal information. This includes your first and last name as well as your address. You’ll also need to set a password. When you have successfully entered this data, click on the green “Register” button. Coinmerce will then send you an email containing a confirmation link. Click on this link. You will then be redirected to the Coinmerce website. Now log in to your account and upload the required documents.

Purchase limits for the purchase of Dogecoin
In Coinmerce there are different levels of Verification, which are accompanied by upper limits for the purchase of Dogecoin. The respective limits relate to daily, weekly and monthly trading volumes.
- Level 1: Verification of your bank account
That’s why the first step is to verify your bank account. Click on “Settings” and then on “Security Settings” and then on “Bank”.
Afterwards you have to transfer an amount of 0,01€ with an individual purpose, which is given to you by Coinmerce, to the bank account of Coinmerce. That will show Coinmerce that you are the real owner of the bank account.
- Level 2: Identity verification
To reach the second level, you have to scan an identity card, passport or driver’s license on both sides and upload the picture to Coinmerce (ideally in a PDF file). This will raise your limits to €20,000 per day and €60,000 per week.
- Level 3: Verification of personal data via Skype
If the mentioned limits from level 2 are not enough for you, you can unlock level 3. For this Coinmerce needs the following proofs:
- proof of residence –> you can scan a current account statement and upload it to Coinmerce
- You’ll also have a quick Skype-to-Skype call with Coinmerce. You have to hold your ID in the camera and answer a few short questions. The telephone call normally does not last longer than 3 minutes

Buy Dogecoin by bank transfer, SOFORT or GiroPay
After the registration and verification has taken some time, the actual purchase of Dogecoin is very easy and fast to complete. But first you have to decide if you want to use an external wallet or the wallet of Coinmerce. Copy the wallet receiving address and paste it into the “External Wallet Address” field of Coinmerce. If you don’t want to use an external wallet, just choose the payment method directly. We recommend that you pay by bank transfer, as the fees are very low. Select “SEPA” for this. Then click on “Buy”. In the next step, Coinmerce will tell you the bank address to which you must transfer the amount. Normally it doesn’t take longer than 24 hours until Coinmerce has received your money and immediately transfers your Dogecoin to your wallet.
The Atomic Wallet already offers you very good protection. However, we recommend that you purchase a hardware wallet as this type of wallet offers you the best protection available on the market today. Take a closer look at our tested models, the Ledger Nano X and the Trezor Model T.

Trade Dogecoin on Binance
Binance is one of the largest exchanges in the world and is considered to be very secure with a particularly user-friendly interface. Nevertheless, there is a limitation to buy Dogecoin on the exchange. So far, only Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, XRP, Ethereum, Binance Coin and Litecoin can be purchased directly by credit card. This allows you to buy either Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP or Tether on Binance by credit card and then trade them for DOGE. Or you can deposit Bitcoin from an external wallet into the Binance Wallet and exchange it for Dogecoin. We will show you below how to buy Bitcoin by credit card on Binance and then trade it for DOGE.
The first step is to register on Binance.com. Click on the following link (click!) and create an account*. All you have to do is enter a password and an e-mail address. No personal data will be requested from you. On Binance, a trading limit of 2 BTC per day (without verification) applies if you do not verify yourself. However, we recommend that you submit the necessary documents as your trading limit will be increased to 100 BTC per day and you will be able to use all the features of the platform.
First step: Buy Bitcoin by credit card
If you have created an account, log in to Binance now. Click on the menu item “Funds” and then on “Buy with Credit Card”. You get the following view. Choose BTC now because you want to buy Bitcoin.
Binance works with third-party provider Simplex to process the purchase of cryptocurrencies by credit card. For this it is necessary to verify your identity. The purchase process is self-explanatory. Nevertheless, we have briefly summarized the most important steps:
- Select “BTC” for Bitcoin and the Fiat currency you want to pay in (Euro or USD).
- Now fill in all required fields that are queried.
- Verify your mail and phone number with the code sent by Binance
- Go back to the Binance website and click “Next”.
- Enter your credit card information.
- Upload the necessary documents (scan the front and back of your passport).
Before and after the purchase gives the following information must be observed:
- The amount indicated in Bitcoin is based on the current Bitcoin price and is not final, but will be calculated when your payment is received by Simplex. If the rate changes by more than 2.5% up or down, you will be asked again to confirm the transaction by email.
- When the payment is completed, you can check all the transaction details in the payment history.
- The Simplex fee is 3.5% or 10 USD, whichever is higher.
- The daily trading limit per user is USD 20,000 and the monthly limit USD 50,000.
- The minimum amount for a transaction is currently (July 2019) USD 50.

Step 2: Trading Bitcoin for DOGE
As soon as the Bitcoins have arrived on your Binance Wallet, you can start buying Dogecoin. We’ll show you below how to trade Bitcoin against DOGE. First you have to send BTC directly to the wallet address of Binance.
Click on the “Funds” tab and then on “Deposit“. Now you have to enter BTC in the search field. Then click Deposit in the BTC-Bitcoin column.
The Bitcoin receiving address from Binance will now be displayed. You can copy this adress in the purchase process at Litebit, Coinmerce or any other exchange. Your Bitcoins, which you trade for DOGE, are then sent to this “Receive Address”.
You should have Bitcoin on your Binance Wallet by now. Now you need to take two more little steps. Click on “Exchange” next to the Binance logo at the top and then on “Basic”. Now you get to the following overview. Here you have to select “BTC”. Enter DOGE in the search field. Then click on DOGE/BTC. All fields are marked red in the screenshot.
Now the display below the price chart changes. You can find detailed instructions on how to use all the functions of Binance in our Binance Review (click here to read our Binance experience report). You can buy Dogecoin either by “Limit” or “Market” order. The “Stop-Limit” function is also available. In the following we explain the individual functions in more detail.
Step 3: Trade Dogecoin against BTC
A “limit” purchase order is an order placed in the order book at a limit price you specify. This means that the trade is only executed when the market price reaches your limit price. If the market price does not reach the price you set, the limit order remains open. You can delete them if you want. A “limit” order should therefore always be used when you are not in a hurry to buy or sell or want to achieve a certain price.
In contrast, a “Market” order is executed immediately at the current market price (see step no. 4 in the screenshot below). Accordingly, the “Market” order is particularly suitable for beginners and investors who want to sell or buy quickly. Since you want to trade your Bitcoin against DOGE, you have to click on the left field “Market”. Directly after that you enter in the line “Amount” how much DOGE you want to buy. When you’ve entered everything, click on “Buy DOGE”.
Normally your Dogecoin should be visible on your wallet within seconds. As with Litebit, Coinmerce or any other exchange, we recommend that you store your Dogecoin on an external wallet. This increases safety and protects your valuable Dogecoin effectively.

Buy Dogecoin on Anycoindirect.eu
DOGE can also be purchased on the Anycoindirect.eu stock exchange in the Netherlands. You have to create an account first. To visit the official website, click on the following link, you will be taken directly to the registration page.
Now you need to enter some personal information about yourself that Anycoin needs to collect as part of the KYC process. When you have completed all the fields, click on the green “Register” button. Anycoindirect will send you an email containing a confirmation link. Click on this link to activate your account.
You will be redirected to the Anycoin homepage. In order to use the Dogecoin Broker to its full extent, you must verify your identity. Upload the required documents in the login area. To do this, click on “Account” and upload the scanned front and back of your ID card.
Once you have successfully verified yourself, click on the “Buy” tab in the menu and select Dogecoin. Depending on which verification level you are at, you can buy Dogecoin worth up to €5,000. Depending on the method of payment, there are different fees for the purchase of Dogecoin. We recommend to pay by bank transfer, as the lowest fees apply. Click on “SEPA”.

When you have selected your amount and inserted your “Receive Address”, you can click on “Buy Dogecoin”.
